Oaks Initiative for Transformation is a registered non-profit organization founded in Nigeria in the year 2019, with a mission to empower underprivileged individuals especially women and children in Nigeria, focusing on improving their quality of life and fostering their transformation through educational programs, relief interventions, sustainable socio-economic programs, advocacies against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and health care interventions, while integrating our values of integrity, competence, accountability, innovation, non-discrimination, equity and justice, empathy in all our work.


Our organization’s headquarter is located in Kaduna, Nigeria where we work tirelessly as a team to profer solutions to global issues through various initiatives and result-based advocacies at Local, State and National levels. Our programs are focused on serving the most vulnerable and marginalized people in Nigeria which include women, children, youths, internally displaced persons and other marginalized groups. The sectors we work in are Humanitarian Relief, Healthcare, Education, Orphan and Childcare, Economic Development, GBV Emancipation, and Gender Equality Advocacies.

MISSION

Our mission is to empower women, youth, and children to achieve their full potential and drive comprehensive, sustainable development in society through targeted initiatives, advocating for rights of women and children, fostering strategic partnerships, and building capacity in key areas. Thereby, uprooting limiting beliefs and cultivating a mindset of abundance, opportunity, and possibility, fostering a culture of collaboration and development, ensuring an age and gender sensitive participation in dismantling the cycle of poverty, and building a brighter future for all.


VISION

We envision a societal reformation through personality emancipation in women, youths and children.



SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • Socio-economic and political emancipation of women and youth through relevant empowerment initiatives geared towards the achievement of a comprehensive, unbiased and sustainable development in the society.

  • Advocate for the rights of women and children and provide adequate support that addresses the unique needs of vulnerable children, including orphans, displaced children and those facing abuse or hardship.

  • Foster strategic partnerships with national and international agencies to achieve measurable goals for women and children's well-being and development.

  • To facilitate different capacity building, sensitization and empowerment initiatives for women and youths in areas such as Entrepreneurship, Financial literacy, Health and Well-being, Gender equality, Digital literacy and Leadership skills.

  • Serve as mentors and champions for youths, women, and children, providing them with access to guidance and support in their chosen endeavors.
